🌿 Circle Dance at Saltaire Methodist Church Hall
Location: Saltaire Methodist Church Hall, Saltaire Rd, Saltaire, Shipley BD18 3HJ
When: Wednesdays, 10:30am – 12:30pm (with a tea break)
Led by: Sophia Hatch
Join our friendly and welcoming circle dance group! We’ve been dancing together for decades, but newcomers are always warmly welcomed.
Start January 14 th – 6 weeks block then break 1 week .
21st/28th
February 4th / 11 th /18 th
Then 7 weeks block with breaks … (to cover Easter & teaching away …)
March 4 th / 11 th / 18 th / & 25 th
April 1 st
Break 8 th April
Then 15 th April / 22 nd
Break 29 th April & 6 th May .
Restart 13 th May but not looked longer than that !
Prices remain the same ! Pay as you go £10 per session
Pay by the block £7 per session ..
so £42 first block
£49 for 2nd block .

30th April -3rd May @ the beautiful Nab Cottage. Rydal. Lakes. Dancing + Alexander /Walking / hot tub! Retreat for women. Fully residential. Couple places left. Please ask for details .

June 20th Celebrate SUMMER SOLSTICE day w/shop with Greek dances ancient + modern.
July 10/11/12th Robin Hoods bay ALL live music wend. Fully booked!

The Spring Equinox
Marks the first day of spring-
It is also named Eostre after the Saxon Goddess,
The symbol of this time is the egg– symbol of life.
It’s time to burst into the Aries energy and feel the quickening of the earth
underneath your feet…
Dances to shake off the dregs of winter, and open to the light,…
Dances to re connect to balance within; about planting + growth, to
celebrate with joy, this time of renewal.
Some will be lively, some slow,
Some tricky, some easy, some traditional some newly created.
– BALANCE
and RENEWAL are the keynotes !
A real variety + balance of dances both traditional + new .
Bring vegetarian food to share . Hot drinks provided.
Open to men + women .

Hebden Bridge Circle Dance Session
On Thursday 23 rd April
2-4 pm at Hebden Bridge Town Hall
Marguerite Eccles with “ Chance to dance “ is offering me the space to lead a Circle Dance session for newcomers ! A first for a long time as I’ve been teaching for about 40 yrs now …
No need for experience or partners .. just an open ness to doing something possibly new to you !
We will have a break mid way with T & coffee included.
So I will teach simple dances – YES there are steps to learn but it really doesn’t matter if you don’t “ get it right “
With differing moods and paces from lively to slow ..
The aim is to build community-
…to connect with our bodies and move together – However they look !
The music is world wide ..
We aim have fun & raise energy ;
to find the peace within ..
wear layers of clothes & soft flat shoes or barefoot !
Open to men & women ..
And if you are a regular dancer with me you are also very welcome !
ONLY £7
You can pay on the door with cash if you like ..
BUT I need an absolute minimum of 12 people so if you intend to come please let me know 🙏🙏🙏

Nab cottage Circle Dance / Alexander Technique / Walking wend for women.
At Nab cottage Rydal Lake District 30th April – 3rd May .
I will ask a non refundable deposit of £30 for the dancing part of the wend anytime from 1 st January 2026 .
The cost is £360 to Nab for your bed and board .Paid nearer the time .
Breakfast lunch & dinner . Veggie .
£130- 150 Self select to me for the dancing / Alexander part of the wend . Balance to be paid 6 weeks before .
We start the day with some group Alexander work for about 1/2 hr – lying in semi supine & taking that into movement and then dancing up until lunch .
The week end is for dancers with experience but none required for the Alexander part .
Afternoons are free to walk / hot tub / rest .. Evenings also dancing .
The wend has a friendly retreat like feel.
First come first served! Shared rooms.
